Another question was asked regarding the sense of urgency of the project. Looking at the I-Ready data for kindergarten at my school (in the math area), it was validated. Even though the kindergarten data showed huge gains (an average of one and a half to two year gains), the class was still at less than 45% on grade level. It just proved to me that more needed to be done to close the gaps the sudents are entering with.
I know at our school Numbers and Operations are usually our greatest concern.
ReplyDeleteWow, those results definitely warrant your project's focus! I wonder about how much iReady has helped the district as a whole in Math and how that correlates to the increases you might see at your school?
